Urticaria Activity Score over 7 days (UAS7)
Weekly disease activity in chronic spontaneous urticaria, sum of daily wheal (0-3) and itch (0-3) scores over 7 days (range 0-42).
Evidence tier: Validated instrument.
Formula / logic
Each day: wheal-number score (0-3) + pruritus-intensity score (0-3) = daily 0-6. UAS7 = sum of 7 daily scores (range 0-42). Bands: 0 urticaria-free; 1-6 well-controlled; 7-15 mild; 16-27 moderate; 28-42 severe.
Interpretation
Standard activity endpoint for CSU trials and clinical follow-up. Minimal important difference commonly cited around 9-11 points.
