Formula / logic

Sum of seven symptom items, each scored 0-4 by days affected in the past week (0 none, 1 = 1-2 d, 2 = 3-4 d, 3 = 5-6 d, 4 = every day); range 0-28. Bands: 0-2 clear/almost clear; 3-7 mild; 8-16 moderate; 17-24 severe; 25-28 very severe.

Interpretation

Patient-reported; complements clinician-scored EASI/SCORAD. Minimal important difference ~3 points.
